Record Store Day Today: Great stuff available from BBE / Classic Material / Dephect

It’s record store day again today and there’s a ton of great events and limited edition vinyl releases being released today. BBE have 4 lovely new releases including a 7inch from the Best of Perception comp I was involved with with plus the new Marc Mac / Visioneers album on a 5 x 7inch boxset, Full details on the flyer above.

The are special releases and events at record stores all over the country – to find what’s going on in your area, pay a visit to www.recordstoreday.com – For those in East London, City Arts and Music Project has a pop up record fair showcasing some of the area’s best independent labels (including our friends from First Word, Wah Wah 45s and others) and Rough Trade of course will have plenty going on, including limited re-stock of out of print Classic Material goodies (pictured above).

Finally, I just wanted to say thanks to Dephect who sent me this great t-shirt this week – the slogan says it all. More info on what they have going on at www.dephect.com.

Came to prominence as a club DJ through involvement in Substance (one of the UK's largest and longest running hip hop and funk nights) and a 2 year spell as mix DJ on BBC Radio 1Xtra. In recent years a steady output of high profile mix albums has allowed me to DJ worldwide. Currently compiling a series of mix albums for the BBE label and producing an album for BBC New Urban Music Bursary award winning 7 piece jazz / soul outfit 'Maylight'.
