It seems that hardly a week goes by without Mellow Music Group releasing either an album or a video or some kind of online treat. Frequency of output is rarely a selling point that screams quality, but with a sizeable team of artists who’ve proven their worth, it’s generally worth checking out what they have to offer.
It turns out I’m about a year late on this one, the solo album from Diamond District’s Yu. Given that it’s been out there for some time, I’ll save a detailed analysis because I’m sure plenty of other people have already done a better job of that than I would, but in short, if you liked Diamond District’s In The Ruff album, you’ll like this and if you’ve not heard Diamond District’s album, do your self a favour and go and get that too.
